Dr. Vanessa Iacono, PhD | Montreal Neuropsychology Center

Dr. Vanessa Iacono is a psychologist and member of the Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec. She obtained her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Concordia University, and completed her clinical training across various departments at the Jewish General Hospital, Montreal Children’s Hospital, and Batshaw Youth and Family Centres.

Dr. Iacono has helped children, adolescents, and families struggling with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, chronic pain, peer/family conflict, and school stress. She also works closely with parents seeking to strengthen the parent-child connection and adopt a fresh perspective on discipline. Dr. Iacono takes a strengths-based approach to encourage resilience and foster well-being and healthy functioning. She was trained within a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework, but uses an integrative approach in practice to create tailor-made psychotherapy experiences. Interventions are carefully selected based on the current evidence-base and unique needs and goals of each client; aspects of mindfulness, dialectic-behaviour, and child-directed play therapies may therefore be incorporated into treatment.
