Psychologist
Dr. Tamara Glen-Soles is a psychologist and member of the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (OPQ). She is the founder of The Secure Child centre, a center that offers treatment and support for children and their families. Dr. Soles works with families dealing with a wide range of issues including frequent crying, sleep challenges, behaviour or learning problems, anxiety, depression, attachment difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, foster placements, child abuse, and trauma. Dr. Soles works from the perspective of attachment theory and incorporates the latest research related to the neurobiological bases of behaviour. She uses a strength-based approach to help each family determine what works for them. Evidence based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and parent training models are incorporated to treat specific challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, depression, school refusal, and phobias. Dr. Soles has extensive experience working with families from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds and works closely with families to provide culturally sensitive services. Dr. Soles is also a Certified Educator of Infant Massage, based on certification through the International Association for Infant Massage- Canada. Dr. Soles is a lecturer at McGill University and a researcher at the Institute of Community and Family Psychiatry at the Jewish General Hospital.
