The team at MNC takes the Corona Virus pandemic very seriously. The uncertainty of the situation can instil an uneasiness in us all, but please be rest assured that we remain focused on the health and wellness of our clients and team members. Our response and safety procedures have been changing quickly over the course of the last weeks and will continue to be updated in the coming days.
As mental health professionals, we are also keenly aware of the growing communal stress response to this event and will do our best to continue providing psychological support, without compromising our commitment to everyone’s physical health.
We are making the following changes to our policies based upon regional impact from the virus:
To keep everyone safe and to help stop the spread, we will be suspending most in-person therapy services until further notice
We will continue to offer certain services (therapy, intake, feedback) via video conferencing for clients who wish to avoid interruptions. We are aware of the limitations of virtual sessions (or tele-therapy) and we will make every effort to make these sessions as seamless as possible. Your psychologist will advise you directly about are any change to your appointments or the method of service delivery
Assessment sessions will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Your psychologist will advise you directly if there are any changes to your testing appointments
For in-clinic services the following safety measures will be observed:
Please advise us as soon as possible if you have been out of the country and/or if you or a close family member is suffering from any of the COVID-19 symptoms
If you are in quarantine, we will do our best to accommodate you via phone or video or to reschedule your appointment
For clients who will be seen in-person at the clinic, we ask that you:
wash your hands before your session
remove your shoes before entering the waiting area of our clinic
If you develop any symptoms or test positive for COVID-19 after visiting our clinic, we ask that you inform us as soon as possible so we can take the appropriate measures
We will continue to monitor the situation closely with local agencies and officials for updated best practices
We encourage you to visit the Government of Canada website (https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection/awareness-resources.html) in order to get more information about Covid-19.
Thank you for your cooperation and stay safe!
